There is no predicting what terrible thing could happen should a person that is intoxicated get behind the wheel of a car. According to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office Michael Inciso, 32, of Atlantic Beach Florida crashed his red Chevy compact into the front of a retail store, AshleGyre at the corner of Atlantic Boulevard and 3rd Street adjacent to Jimmy John’s which was also damaged. Inciso was charged with DUI, DUI property damage, failure to stop at a red light and reckless driving. Inciso also ran a red light and drove completely through a parking lot before striking the storefront according to eyewitnesses at the scene of the crash.
Police making the arrest cited a strong smell of alcohol, lethargy, bloodshot eyes and the inability to stand up straight without wobbling as the probable cause that lead them to suspect alcohol may have played a factor in the crash. Oddly, this is the second time someone has crashed their car into the same store.
Www.news4jax.com also reported that according to court records, Inciso has a previous DUI arrest in 2007. Repeat offenders face serious penalties in the state of Florida. include fines, license suspension, vehicle impound, and installing an ignition interlock device on the vehicles under their control, plus mandatory jail time for for those convicted of a second DUI within five years.
